Meet the Workerbeez was founded in 2024 by Robin Humphrey, a single mom and neighborhood leader who, through a fellowship with UMKC’s Center for Neighborhoods, recognized the need for a sustainable solution to poverty and the growing skills gap.
Meet the Workerbeez empowers children to build brighter futures by reducing the likelihood of adult poverty and closing the skills gap through engaging books and games that inspire career exploration, strengthen literacy, and promote real-world learning.
Children today need more than stories, they need pathways to understand the world of work and the roles they can pursue. We believe early exposure to workforce concepts fosters confidence, expands career horizons, and strengthens community engagement. Our books, games & programs build foundational literacy while inspiring futures leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
